Denis O'Hare admitted this week that he and his fellow American Horror Story cast members weren't sure about Lady Gaga at first.

Gaga stepped into the major role of The Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel, her first major foray into acting. Primarily known as a pop superstar, it was unknown to many of the AHS cast members how she was going to act and behave on set.

O'Hare (who played Liz Taylor in Hotel) spoke about this in a new interview with GoldDerby, admitting that Gaga ultimately proved to be a warm presence on set.

"I think we all came to those first days with trepidation," he admitted. "'Who knows what she's gonna be like, who knows what energy she'll bring on set. Who knows if she'll demand a closed set, demand not to be talked to,' and from word 'go' she was one of us. Totally down to earth."

He spoke about Gaga inviting the whole cast to a party at her Malibu property, which helped to break the ice.

"On set she was also incredibly cool," O'Hare continued. "I remember one time they were filming and she was sitting on set amidst all the extras and background people, not trying to hide away, not trying to be special, just totally in it. Every scene she brought an incredible fierceness, point of view, opinion and passion."

As for O'Hare's involvement in the upcoming sixth season, he admitted that he doesn't know anything but he's in talks to return.

"They've approached me, we're in talks right now. I would love to come back. I can't imagine I won't come back. That being said we haven't announced anything yet," he said.

O'Hare also noted that plans change quite frequently on American Horror Story, revealing that Liz Taylor was originally supposed to be a drag queen who "died in a tragic fire, [and] was a serial killer."

Liz Taylor would ultimately become one of the most beloved characters in Hotel.

American Horror Story season 6 premieres this fall on FX.
