'True Detective' Season 3 Rumors: Has Olivia Munn Confirmed She'll Be In New Episodes? [PHOTO]
Is there a chance that the new season of True Detective is secretly filming-and starring actress Olivia Munn?
The actress appeared to allude at the possibility with a recent Instagram post which featured both her, former Arrested Development star Jason Bateman, Abby Lee from Mad Max and Jillian Bell from The Night Before-which she captioned with the telling "True Detective Season 3."
The image features the group all hanging out on a staircase, and also features the hashtag #officechristmasparty, which seemed random for what some wondered could have been a confirmation of the HBO series returning for a new season.
However, Munn wasn't likely confirming anything about the show, since the hashtag was actually not random-and is for a movie she is currently shooting with Bateman called Office Christmas Party. She later shared another image of the two appearing to try and read some scripts with confused looks on their faces-also featuring the same hashtag as the True Detective image.
It has been reported that a third season of True Detective wouldn't likely premiere until next year, after the second season with Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Vince Vaughn and Taylor Kitsch wound up disappointing fans. However, that hasn't stopped endless rumors and speculation about who could potentially be in a third season.
Reps for Jon Hamm were forced to deny that he would be a part of the show back in December, after reports claimed he was looking into being a part of the show following his finally winning an Emmy for Mad Men last fall.
In addition, rumors surfaced after season 2 ended when a fan-made video of a proposed season three cast-which included Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Gosling, James Franco and Cara Delevingne-went viral, though none of those actors have been confirmed to be a part of any future seasons of the show. None have confirmed or denied any potential involvement with the show.
