Legends of Tomorrow will leave it all out on the court in "Legendary."

Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) assembled his Waverider crew with the goal of wiping out Vandal Savage (Casper Crump), and it appears the former Time Master will see some form of success in the series' freshman finale. As we've seen in other DC shows, however, taking down your mortal enemy generally comes at a price (we're looking at you, Flash).

Nevertheless, the final hour will propel the Legends into an entirely new storyline.

"I can say the finale feels like a climax," showrunner Phil Klemmer told TV Guide. "This series was always meant to be something that we could never [repeat] themes [or] stories [in]. We always meant to leave it all on the field and burn all of our bridges so Season 2 would effectively have to be a totally new premise and a totally new setup. So yeah, we're really burning it down with our finale."

If Savage goes down, does that mean Rip and his cohorts will go back to their regular lives? Something tells us that's not going to happen, even despite rumors that Legends is planning a low cast turnover for season 2. The series has invested far too much time making these disparate characters into a cohesive whole, and it would be foolish to throw it all away.

When asked about season 2 and the future of Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee), Firestorm (Victor Garber and Franz Drameh), the Atom (Brandon Routh), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), and the White Canary (Caity Lotz) at WonderCon, executive producer Marc Guggenheim wasn't quite ready to spill the beans.

I'm mentally there and prepared to think about it, I'm not prepared to talk about it," Guggenheim told EnStars.

We do know one thing for sure - Suits' Patrick Adams will make his debut in episode 16, and fans can definitely expect to see him pop up across the sophomore run. Billed as a "fun character the fans will love," Adams identity is still unknown.
