'Live With Kelly and Michael' Update: Kelly Ripa 'Beyond Angry' With ABC, When Will She Return? [VIDEO]
The chaos continues behind the scenes of Live With Kelly and Michael, with new info on when Kelly Ripa will come back to the show.
Ripa will not return to Live with Kelly and Michael until next Tuesday at the earliest, according to a new CNN report. The host apparently had a prescheduled vacation from Friday to Monday, but as the report states, there is no such explanation for why she is out today (Thursday).
However, it's been heavily suggested that Ripa is not happy with ABC for letting her co-host, Michael Strahan, leave the show for Good Morning America. The news was announced on Tuesday, but apparently Ripa and executive producer Michael Gelman were told mere minutes beforehand.
A source told CNN that "she is beyond angry. Beyond."
Then there are sources for PageSix stating that she's having a meltdown over the news.
"Kelly sees this as the ultimate betrayal," a source said, while another stated, "There's been a total Ripa meltdown."
In the wake of this news, many are speculating on who may replace Strahan, who is slated to leave his Live gig in September.
Ripa apparently has a shortlist for who she'd like to have as a co-host, with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen at the top of the list. Twitter users (including some celebrities) have some ideas for who should replace Strahan too:
