'Castle' Season 8 News: Was Nathan Fillion A 'Bully' To Stana Katic? [VIDEO]
There is a new rumor addressing the possible tension between Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion behind the scenes on ABC's Castle.
In the aftermath of the shocking news that ABC is moving forward with Castle without Katic (who plays Kate Beckett), there have been reports of potential friction between her and Fillion (who plays Richard Castle).
Now there is a report from a supposed insider stating how Katic would cry due to Fillion's behavior.
"Stana would cry on set because Nathan was such a bully to her," a source told Us Weekly. A second source seemed to corroborate this, saying: "Stana would go in her dressing room and cry. A lot of people who work on the show don't like Nathan. It's not just her."
The second insider continued, "The friction was very evident. Nathan has been nasty to Stana for a long time. Stana was a pro, just wanted to get in there and do her job."
Meanwhile, a representative for Katic told the publication that she "had absolutely no issues" with Fillion.
Fillion did release a statement regarding Katic's exit, and while he addresses the actress as his "partner" and says "she will be missed," some fans aren't happy that Fillion said he hope the show continues for "years to come."
@NathanFillion If you had any respect for the show, Stana, the characters and the fans, you'd not continue on the show "for years to come".

@NathanFillion With all due respect, I'd rather see both of you move on to new projects. We watch for Caskett. :(

@NathanFillion very disappointed in you. What about standing up for your 'partner'? I think you couldn't care less...

@NathanFillion I would've thought you would fight for Stana to keep playing Beckett! It will NEVER be the same without her on #Castle

@NathanFillion the fact you even let this happen to your "partner" is despicable.

It remains to be seen how the show will tackle Katic's exit.
