Ah, finale season; the time of year when television is brimming over with tragic deaths, surprise pregnancies, unbearable cliffhangers, and, of course, epic proposals. For NCIS: Los Angeles, "Talion" could be the perfect opportunity for Deeks to pop the question

Unfortunately for fans, it doesn't look as if Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) is quite ready to put a ring on it. It took a finale to get the Densi 'ship out of the dry dock, but the couple's next milestone won't come on the eve of a summer hiatus.

"We will not see, I don't think, a proper proposal until next season, because we have an idea for how to do that that I want to play out," executive producer Scott Gemmill told TV Guide. "I already know how we're going to do it. It's just, the fans have waited long enough that we want it to be worth the wait."

After all, Hetty's (Linda Hunt) team won't have time for declarations of love on May 2 - they'll be too busy saving Sam's (LL Cool J) son. Tahir Khaled is back, and the he's about to his the former SEAL where it hurts the most.

"When Sam receives a distress code from his son Aiden (Tye White) that his school has been taken over by an extremist group, Sam, Callen, Kensi and Deeks rush to San Francisco to protect Aiden and free the hostages," CBS teased.
