Blindspot fans should get the tissues ready; the season finale will come equipped with a dew thoroughly heartbreaking performances.

Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) dropped into Weller's (Sullivan Stapleton) world courtesy of a mysterious Time Square duffle bag, and, if anything, her story has only become more bizarre over the last year. When the finale rolls around, perhaps the amnesiac enigma will get the answers she's looking for.

"The finale is our best episode yet...the cast all give heartbreaking performances and the stakes couldn't be higher," series creator Martin Gero, according to E! Online.

Titled "Why Await Life's End," the May 23 episode will stand out from the other 22 hours for one major reason - everyone from Weller to Jane to Oscar (Francois Arnaud) will keep their guns holstered.

"There is a reveal in these last couple of episodes that turns the show completely upside down," Gero told Entertainment Weekly. "[The finale] is the first episode where there's not a single shot fired. That's how much is going on emotionally."
