'The Flash' Season 2: Girder Resurrected! Cisco Meets Trouble In A 'Runaway Dinosaur' Preview [VIDEO]
Oh, Eobard Thawne, you're the gift that just keeps on giving.
Evil Wells (Tom Cavanagh) is dead and gone, but, as fans will see in "The Runaway Dinosaur," his secrets will continue to pepper the narrative nearly a year after Eddie's sacrifice. Barry's (Grant Gustin) sudden disappearance will cause Cisco (Carlos Valdes) to dig into Thawne's records, which just so happen to be located in the STAR Labs morgue.
Didn't know the Flash's HQ had a morgue? Yeah, neither did we. Used to store dead metas, it appears the lich-house won't have escaped the second particle accelerator explosion unscathed.
In a comic book preview for Tuesday's episode, Cisco and Iris (Candice Patton) run into an unexpected Man of Steel. No, not that one. Girder (Greg Finley) is back, and he's doing his very best iZombie audition, a fact that will not escape Cisco's attention (or ours, particularly since Finley just broke our hearts as Drake Holloway).
What does a resurrected Tony Woodward want? Apparently exactly the same thing he wanted back in "The Flash is Born."
"With Barry gone, the team must figure out a way to handle the return of an old enemy - Girder. Realizing Girder is retracing his steps from his last attack, Iris volunteers to act as bait to trap him in S.T.A.R. Labs," The CW teased. "Meanwhile, Barry fights to return to his old life."
Will Girder wind up in the Pipeline, or will the STAR Labs team put him back in the ground? Last time Tony met his end, it was at the hands of Blackout, and he was actually not being a complete Alpha male jerk. Will Girder return as his old self (the dark matter resurrected him once already), or is this iteration of the meta more of a show of his former self?
