They thought they were going to have the chance to live happily ever after, but instead, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Julian's (William DeVry) marriage is beginning to fall apart quicker than they could have expected on General Hospital.

After Julian asked Alexis to defend Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) in his trial for Duke's murder, she realized things weren't right, especially after the witness who claimed to have seen the entire scene play out wound up dead from a drug overdose after being clean for more than a year. However, despite the suspicious circumstances, she still chose to try and believe that Julian had kept his promise to her and was out of the mob. However, after Carlos not only escaped but then wound up gravely injured on Pier 54, dying at the hospital afterwards, she realized that she had been lied to. And when she learns more details about how Carlos was killed, she will know for sure that Julian lied to her.

Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) will arrive at the couple's home to warn them both of the change in events, and after providing an alibi for her husband that she had seen him at Crimson at 2:30 a.m., and had locked up his gun earlier in the evening, she was told that Carlos had been attacked earlier than that, and with a knife that hadn't yet been recovered. By the description of the blade, Alexis knew it was the one Helena had willed to her, which had been used to kill her own mother.

Now, devastated that Julian has not only lied to her and made her into a fool, Alexis will also be heartbroken when she realizes that he use the same weapon that killed her mother to commit his crime. And when he continues to deny her accusations, she will blow up at him, and their marriage may be unable to truly recover.
