'The Bachelor' Cast News: Ben Higgins & Lauren Bushnell Marrying This Summer In ABC Special? [VIDEO]
It appears the break-up rumors are all false when it comes to recent Bachelor couple Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell, as a new report suggests the two are not only still together and planning their wedding, but that it could happen as early as this summer!
Bushnell and Higgins, who's engagement played out on the finale of The Bachelor back in March, are reportedly planning to have their wedding over the summer, making Bushnell's dreams of a summer wedding come true, and in true Bachelor fashion, they are planning to let ABC cameras film the whole thing for a TV special.
"[They] will get married very soon, probably this summer," sources said. "It would be an ABC special."
As for why the couple would consider letting the cameras roll during their wedding, they have previously said that the fans have always been a big part of their story, and because of that they want them to be a part of their wedding.
"We want to share our life with everyone who's been supportive, and that includes Bachelor Nation," Bushnell previously said.
If the couple are in fact marrying this Summer, they will be the second couple from The Bachelor to actually marry one another after their finale proposal, and fifth overall from the entire Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise who married overall. The other couples from the franchise to actually marry were Bachelorette Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter in 2003 (they have two kids, Maxwell and Blakesley, Bachelor Jason Mesnick and his initial runner-up Molly Melaney in 2010 (they have a daughter, Riley), Bachelorette Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum in 2012 (they have a son, Fordham), Bachelor Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici in 2014 (their first child is due soon), and Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried in 2015 (they are also expecting their first child together).
Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe and pick Shawn Booth are also still together, but have not yet announced a wedding date.
