'Scream Queens' Season 2: 'Very Dark' & 'Even Crazier', Lea Michele & Jamie Lee Curtis Preview Return [VIDEO]
The Scream Queens have a new reason to fear - the second season will make the Red Devil look like child's play.
The Ryan Murphy drama will dive into the future during its sophomore run, swapping the shockingly sinister world of sororities for the gloaming halls of a hospital ward.
"I think it'll be dark. I think it's going to be very dark," Jamie Lee Curtis (Dean Cathy Munsch) told E! Online during to Fox upfronts.. "It's in a hospital, [there's] a lot of darkness in hospitals-dark hallways, scary rooms, sharp objects, a lot of blood, disinfectants."
...and a lot of returning characters. Unlike American Horror Story, the Fox horror-comedy will ensue the anthology format in order to carry the Chanels and their Wallace U pals over into the second season. A little legal legerdemain will spring Chanel (Emma Roberts), Chanel #5 (Abigail Breslin), and Chanel #5 (Billie Lourd) from the nut house, but not before the spacey trio have the chance to double down on their studies. Along with Zayday (Keke Palmer), the former KKT sisters will enter the medical profession, as per Deadline, and will be training under Muncsh (how now owns a hospital, btw).
As the bodies start to pile up, Hester (Lea Michele) will also return. The Red Devil mastermind (probably) won't be this fall's big bad, but she will be up to no good.
"I'm really excited about it," Michele told E! Online. "I get to be even crazier this year than I was last year, if you can believe it!"
