She's been addicted to and felt the need to constantly consume her pills ever since the New Year's Eve accident that gave her back pain, but Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) will finally hit her genuine rock bottom on Days of Our Lives.

Eric and Lucas (Brian Datillo) tried getting her help to no avail, and the stress and drama of her life, specifically watching her daughter Abigail (Kate Mansi) succumb to mental illness and need to be locked away in a mental facility and seeing her son, J.J. (Casey Moss) almost die after contracting the virus that ran through Salem, could lead to her finally reaching the worst point thus far since she started popping the pills as much as she did.

Jennifer will hit her lowest point yet, winding up in jail even while succumbing to the addiction, yet it will still be hard for some of her loved ones as they try to find any way they can to help her. However, she will keep hitting the same wall over and over again, unable to cope, until a special guest from her past shows up again in her life. And when Jack's (Matthew Ashford) ghost appears to her, she could finally get the wake up call she needed.

Jack always was her rock and the calming force she needed in her life, and a part of her has been adrift ever since his death, but never more than she has been since getting addicted to the pills. Now, with Jack once again appearing, she will finally have the force she needs which makes her realize the extent of her addiction, and the issues that could crop up if she doesn't overcome her addiction.

After she sees Jack and gets the strength she needs, Jennifer will realize how much J.J. and Abigail need her, especially with their own struggles, and if she can't get through her own hard times without popping pills, they will have to deal with their own stuff without the support of their mother. And with that in mind, she may finally start to take the steps she needs to truly combat the addiction once and for all.
