He has made another decision concerning where his son Thomas (Pierson Fode) would work without consulting anyone else, and now, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) will have to fend off questions about why Thomas is actually headed to Shanghai on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Ridge told Thomas he was sending him there to learn the international components of the business better, so that in a few years time he could return to L.A. and take over as CEO of the company when Ridge descided to step down, but Thomas saw it as an attempt to guarantee he couldn't get to bond with his son, whom Ridge is passing off as his own. Ridge denied the claim and assured him his going to Shanghai was the right thing to do, so there would never be a risk or a chance if he wasn't around, that Rick (Jacob Young) could stumble across the truth about Douglas's paternity, and use it to remove Ridge from power, reclaim the seat, and destroy the company.

However, Thomas won't be the only one to question the decision, as Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) will also wonder if the decision is a bit extreme.

"He's being transferred by me, indefinitely," Ridge says to her in a preview clip for the Friday, May 27 episode.

"Do you really have to send him halfway across the world?" She replies.

Meanwhile, Rick, who is at home in the meantime as he adjusts to fatherhood following the birth of his daughter, Lizzie, will continue also obsessing over what he is sure is a huge secret that Ridge is keeping which could destroy the company. But, when he expresses his concerns to his father, Eric (John McCook), he will once again find himself being shut down.

"Stop obsessing about Ridge, and you concentrate on what's good in your life," Eric says in the clip. "You have a new baby right there."

However, Rick won't be able to let things go that easily, and after he learns about the plans to transfer Thomas, he could start digging some more and get closer to the truth.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
