'Young and the Restless' (Y&R) Spoilers: The Case Against Adam Grows Stronger [VIDEO]
He has been trying to find a way to prove himself innocent when it comes to the charges that he murdered Constance Bingham, but the more he tries, the more the case against Adam (Justin Hartley) seems to grow stronger on The Young and the Restless.
Ian (Ray Wise) has proven to be problematic as his witness who claims that he got Victor (Eric Braden) to confess he set Adam up, which was a lie. However, with a deal with Adam in place that he'll help him escape jail if he testifies, things seem to be tied up. Adam's confidence however will give Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) a reason to pause, and she will question her husband about what exactly is going on with Ian.
"I know you Adam," she says in a preview clip for the Wednesday, June 15 episode. "Something happened with Ian and you're not telling me. What was it?"
Meanwhile, the deal with Ian could wind up getting Adam in even more trouble, because Meredith (Alicia Coppola) is now trying to protect Victor, and will go to Christine (Lauralee Bell) with what she knows.
"Would you be willing to say all of this under oath?" Christine asks her in the clip.
With the prosecution now aware that Adam's key witness is Ian, and that he likely got him to agree to testify by striking a deal, the case against him is only getting more airtight.
However, Adam's instincts that Victor did set him up by hiring people to forge the entry in Sage's diary which indicated she was afraid he had killed Constance, as well as someone else to make it look like Constance had been poisoned to death are right. While in his solitary confinement in the prison, Victor will flash back to his conversation with a mystery woman who he hired to help him get his revenge on everyone who testified against him, including all of his children, and starting with Adam.
"You know what I'm asking of you," he says in the clip. "I want those who testified against me punished."
The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
