'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' Season 12: Why Taylor Swift Doesn't Have A Case Against Kim Kardsahian & Kanye West [VIDEO]
Word has spread that Taylor Swift wants to take legal action against Kim Kardashian and Kanye West after Kardashian aired Swift and West’s phone conversation in which Swift okayed the lyrics about her in West’s song Famous.
West rapped that he thinks he and Swift still might sleep together after their drama, gave himself credit for her fame and called her the B word. Swift has maintained she didn’t know the lyrics would cut that deep, but the Kardashian and West clans have said she knew all along. Kardashian exposed her when she posted the phone conversation via Snap Chat that reveals Swift knew all about it.
It didn’t take long for speculation to swirl that Swift wanted to sue Kardashian and West for invading her privacy. But new reports reveal why Swift might not have too much of a case. That’s because Swift not only knew that she was being recorded, but was fully aware that other people were in the room during the conversation, TMZ reported Tuesday.
Swift could only sue in the state of California if the conversation was considered “confidential communication” and Swift didn’t know that it was recorded. Based on the full tape that TMZ has obtained, Swift knew what was going on. She was on speaker and producer Rick Rubin was also in the room with West and chimed in a few times during the conversation.
