'The Bachelor' Season 21: Will Luke Pell Be The Next Man To Find Love On Series? [VIDEO]
He was eliminated from the competition for JoJo Fletcher's heart after hometown dates, but Luke Pell may have the chance to search for love again now that he is rumored to be the most likely candidate to be the star of season 21 of The Bachelor.
According to reports, Pell, a 31-year-old War Veteran from Texas is at the top of the list to be considered as the next Bachelor, and while he isn't confirmed to be the man who will hand out the next batch of roses, he is the most-likely pick.
"It's looking like Luke right now as the next Bachelor, but there are a couple others on the back burner in case he doesn't work out," a source told Us Weekly.
Should he decline or another reason prevents him from taking on his own season, other possible guys who could get the gig are Robby Hayes (Jojo's first runner-up), Chase McNary (2nd runner-up), and Wells Adams, who was eliminated during the 6th week of competition for her season.
Pell also has Fletcher's support when it comes to being the next Bachelor as well, and she has spoken out since announcing her engagement to Jordan Rogers that she thinks America would love watching him more than anyone else.
"If you ask me personally, I think both Luke and Chase are great options," she said at the time. "I think Robby is a great choice, too. But when I sent Luke home, America died. There was an overwhelming amount of support and love for him and I totally get it."
If Pell gets the gig, he would be the first 3rd runner-up from a season of The Bachelorette to get the role of The Bachelor. Previous men who won the gig were 1st runner-ups Ben Flajnik and Jason Mesnick, and 2nd runners-up Ben Higgins, Chris Soules and Sean Lowe. Men who were eliminated earlier who got the gig were Juan Pablo Galavis and Jake Pavelka.
Of those men, the only ones who are still with the woman they picked at the end are Higgins and Lowe. Mesnick rejected his initial winner, Melissa Rycroft at the After the Rose special, and rekindled things with his runner-up, Molly Melaney. Those two are still together as well.
