The main focus of the investigation at the hospital has been to find the derisifol killer and to see who cut the power recently, but now, after Elizabeth's (Rebecca Herbst) fall down a flight of stairs during the power outage, an arrest will be made after her assumed attacker is brought in for questioning on General Hospital.

Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) overheard Elizabeth's conversation with Franco (Roger Howarth) where she said she remembered feeling a set of hands push her down the stairs, and with Franco's admission that he had seen Hayden (Rebecca Budig) standing over her, and the fact that the two had argued only moments before the accident because Elizabeth was going to turn in the diamonds and get Hayden sent to prison, has Elizabeth and Franco both believing that Hayden was the one who pushed her. Now, despite Hayden's alibi, which Finn (Michael Easton) provided for her, Jordan will suspect Hayden-and could make an arrest.

Hayden will be stunned if she's arrested, though before that happens, she could be suspicious of exactly why Finn is helping her, despite their history where she has also helped him. And though he will assure her that he provided her with an alibi because he believes her assertions she didn't harm Elizabeth, Hayden will question what his motives could really be.

"You know exactly what you're going to do," she says to him in a preview clip for the Thursday, September 1 episode.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth and Franco will be more concerned about what she could be facing due to the extent of her injuries from the fall, and how it could affect her life. And though her being conscious is a good sign, they will brace themselves for the worst news possible when Griffin (Matt Cohen) arrives with the results of her tests, and the official diagnosis for her condition.

"I have your test results," he says in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
