The two nominees in the Big Brother 18 house had some spats throughout Monday as the rest of the house mostly coasted through the day.

Head of Household: Victor Arroyo

Nominees: James Huling and Natalie Negrotti

Other houseguests: Corey Brooks, Nicole Franzel and Paul Abrahamian

The Power of Veto ceremony took place early on Monday, with POV winner Corey deciding not to use the Veto on either James or Natalie. That means the couple will officially be broken up on Thursday as Corey, Nicole and Paul will decide who will be evicted.

Over the weekend, the trio decided that Natalie was a stronger competition threat, with James only really able to win endurance-style competitions. They also brought several petty things into their argument for why she should be evicted, such as her supposed flirtation with Corey early in the game.

Monday was another day of tension between James and Natalie, as James feared that she was pushing him away. James had a conversation with Victor about thinking Natalie might have played him the whole time. When he suggested to Natalie that the other houseguests could sense the tension between them, she said that she just wanted to have a relaxing few days with him before they are split up.

Meanwhile, Nicole and Corey are still 100 percent set on voting out Natalie on Thursday and on Monday they gave another interesting reason. Nicole and Corey agreed that they could bring James to the Final 3, suggesting they're ready to turn their backs on Paul and Victor next. It looks like that "Final 4" pact isn't as strong as Paul and Victor might have thought.

If Paul and Victor get the sense that Nicole and Corey are looking to use James moving forward, it's possible that they could try to influence them to vote him out instead of Natalie. After all, Natalie is much more likely to work with Paul and Victor than Nicole and Corey. This is perhaps the only way that Natalie could stay in the house on Thursday.

Big Brother 18 airs another new episode Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
