'Wendy Williams' Show: Host Gets Emotional As She Remembers Late Hairstylist & Friend 'I Am Wigless' [VIDEO]
Wendy Williams has returned to the small screen for a brand new season of her daytime talk show but instead of delivering the usual round of celebrity gossip that we missed during her hiatus, she took a moment to remember her longtime friend and hairstylist who passed away recently.
Williams got teary-eyed as she spoke candidly as she revealed she was getting her eyebrows done when she found out that Antwon had passed away.
She immediately began to cry as she remembered the moment and explained why she decided to wear a turban.
“I am wigless,” she said. “My wigologist Antwon passed away this summer very untimely. He was only 44-years-old and he’s been with me through thick and through thin.”
She added that he traveled with her and the two experienced much of life together.
“We had a special connection,” she added. “He even had a special connection with my son…My husband really respected and appreciated him.”
She went on to reveal that he would even visit the producer and her family Suzanne, who was also emotional.
“They would have dinner,” Williams said. “It wasn’t unusual to come in the studio to see Antwon sitting the camera guys… He was a really, really special man…I will miss you dearly Antwon.”
She followed it with a special tribute decided to Antwon who was seen saying one of his favorite phrases, “It’s just hair.”
