Walter O'Brien isn't known for having his head in the clouds, but Scorpion season 3 will send the genius rocketing through the stratosphere right out into space. Yes, Team Scorpion is ready to take on the final frontier.

Titled "It Isn't The Fall That Kills You," the Oct. 10 episode will push the boundaries of what Scorpion is able to do

"Episode 3 Walter gets shot into space, that's all I can say. It's really awesome. It was one of those episodes where we didn't think we could do it before last year," showrunner Nicholas Wooton told EnStars at San Diego Comic-Con. "We actually made the comic book that we put out last year [which] was about our guys going into space because we thought, 'Well, we can't do this.' Last year actually taught us that we could [when] we did a weightlessness thing."

The interstellar hour will come in the wake of the series' two-part premiere. Walter's (Elyse Gabel) quest to win over Paige (Katherine McPhee) will get sidetracked as hackers turn America's defenses against the nation in "Civil War" and "More Civil War."

"Team Scorpion must put aside their personal and romantic predicaments when anonymous hackers with unknown motives take control of U.S. military aircraft and warships and point weapons at American cities," CBS teased. "Just as Team Scorpion makes headway against the hackers controlling U.S. naval destroyers, they learn that a U.S. nuclear submarine also has been hacked and has a missile about to launch."
