They all wanted revenge on those that they felt wronged them, hence their returning to Salem and wreaking endless havoc on the town, but Clyde (James Read) will finally come clean about what is really motivating his crimes on Days of Our Lives.

He wanted revenge on Kate (Lauren Koslow) for the cold way she ended their relationship when he was still a free man, but he has an even bigger motivation for why he wanted to come back to town, and he will tell Orpheus (George Del Hoyo) what he is really hoping to accomplish by being there now.

When Clyde was arrested, he learned from Ben that he was the Necktie Killer, and that he was motovated by a need to get Chad (Billy Flynn) away from Abigail and the baby that she was carrying at the time. After he left, the truth about Ben's crimes came out and he too was locked up in a mental institution, Abigail gave birth to a little boy, and that little boy, Thomas, was later proven to be Chad's son and not Ben's.

Ben managed to get some level of revenge after he escaped from his facility, and his appearances, plus the history of mental illness in Abigail's family, worked to get Abigail to lose her sanity, and she eventually also ran from the mental hospital she was in-and is now presumed dead. But Thomas is still with Chad, and Clyde is infuriated that the child that he tried to make his grandson is with his son's biggest enemy.

Now, he may tell Orpheus about he is motivated by trying to make things up to Ben, because not only did Ben not get the happy ending he wanted and deserved, but his past experiences with his father also led to his snapping the way he did. In an effort to try and make it up to him, Clyde may want to find some way to snatch Thomas, so that a piece of Ben, since he still believes the baby is his, can live on without any DiMera influence.
