It looks like the inclusion of Jennifer Morrison in Once Upon a Time Season 7 is not yet sure. The 37-year-old actress revealed in an interview that he contract for portraying Emma Swan is soon to end and there is no news for any renewal.

"My contract ends in April on Once Upon a Time, I don't know what that means," the Startrek star told the podcast The Drop-In. She also revealed that ABC is not yet officially renewing the show for a new season, thus she is still waiting how things will unfold.

Morrison also admitted that she is just now waiting for the network's decision. If ever Once Upon a Time Season 7 will continue, she, too, is not sure if it will still be the same or will still have the same cast. The show is now in the middle of its sixth season, but ABC has yet to pick it up for a new chapter, TV Guide reported.

When the show's executive producers Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis graced the Television Critics Association winter press tour, the two didn't talk anything about its renewal. However, they now have their plans for the new installment.

If Once Upon a Time Season 7 pursues, fans can see major changes like new faces. In fact, ABC chief Channing Dungey said in an interview that the next chapter would have a "new direction," although she cleared that it doesn't mean that they won't be bringing the show's stars back.

"It's just how do you kind of hit the reset button in a way that gives you opportunity to expand the stories that we're telling?" Dungey teased, as per Hollywood Life. With that being said, it is very likely that Morrison will still be seen in the next and future installments of the fairy tale television series.
