‘Madam Secretary’: CBS Yet to Announce Season 4 Cancellation, Renewal; Season 3 Episode 14 Pushed to March
The future of "Madam Secretary" Season 4 is still undecided as CBS has not yet made any announcement. But it is the declining viewership that is pretty alarming. Moreover, "Madam Secretary" Season 3, Episode 14 has been pushed further and the series will not be back before March.
The rating of "Madam Secretary" Season 3 is about 0.95, with 8.63 million viewers and in the 18 to 49 demographic, which is down by 14 percent and 21 percent respectively, as compared with Season 2, TV Series Finale reported. Though it seems to be decent, but it is the declining trend that is fueling speculations about the cancellation of "Madam Secretary" Season 4.
However, so far, "Madam Secretary" Season 4 has neither been cancelled nor renewed by CBS. And, fans will have to wait till an announcement is made regarding the next season, "Madam Secretary" Season 4.
In other news, it is being said that "Madam Secretary" Season 3 Episode 14 has been further delayed and will not be aired until March 5. This delay in Episode 14 has been made sensibly, to accommodate the Super Bowl, the Grammy and the Oscars that are scheduled to take place in the month of February.
When "Madam Secretary" Season 4, Episode 14 returns, the storytelling will be back to its traditional form and it will have more of Elizabeth McCord, tackling more complicated issues and not President Dalton's legitimacy in office. According to reports from Spoilers Guide, "Madam Secretary" Season 4, Episode 14 is tilted "Labor of Love" and the episode will see conflict arising before the marriage of the son of the Colombian President and the daughter of rebel leader. More than the marriage, it is the peace treaty that is in jeopardy and also a matter of concern.
"Madam Secretary" is essentially a political drama with Elizabeth McCord (played by actress Téa Leoni) as the U.S. Secretary of States.
