90's people will surely be delighted with the reboot of the satirical superhero -- The Tick. After many years of waiting, Amazon has transformed an animated character into a live one, which will premiere this August.

"The Tick," who is a blue-suited hero in 1994, has been given a different look by Amazon. From an animated version, it has been brought into a live-action series played by Peter Serafinowicz who's more known for his act in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" as Garthan Saal.

Everything's almost the same though, as Peter will don the superhero's blue antennaed-outfit as he fights the villainous character, The Terror, played by Jackie Earle Haley. Meanwhile, as Yahoo! reported The Tick will be helped by his human sidekick with mental issues, Arthur, played by (Griffin Newman).

However, prior to becoming a full-season series, "The Tick" has been aired on the retail giant's pilot season. This means that its August premiere is nothing new to most fans anymore. Nevertheless, it will bring a nostalgic vibe to many of its viewers.

The series is about a human accountant who has no super powers at all. One day, he realized that his beloved city is possessed by a super villain, who, as everyone knows is dead for a long time. However, as he finds out the truth about the conspiracy, he will team up with an odd blue superhero, "The Tick."

Along with Serafinowicz, Newman, and Haley, Comicbook reported that "The Tick" will also star Valorie Curry from the "House of Lies," Brendan Hines from "Scorpion," and Yara Martinez from "Jane The Virgin." It will be executive produced by some of the well-known pros such as Barry Josephson from "Bones," Barry Sonnenfeld from "A Series of Unfortunate Events," and Ben Edlund from "Supernaturals.

Moreover, the overall production will be directed by Wally Pfister from "The Dark Knight" and co-produced by the giant brand, Sony Pictures Television. It will be premiered on August 25 as a new Amazon series.
