Puppy Bowl 2018: Team Fluff Beats Team Ruff For Lombarky Trophy
It's the battle between the furriest and the fluffiest! While America is gearing up for the battle between the Eagles and Patriots, there's another bowl that deserves an honorable mention: The 2018 Puppy Bowl.
The annual dog competition offered more than adorable pups battling it out for the gold, the show also showed a chicken playing "America the Beautiful" on the piano, and a sloth that participated in the games.
In the end, Team Fluff won the Lombarky Trophy for the second year in a row against their competitors, Team Ruff.
Let's take a look at some of the highlights!
Team Fluff vs Team Ruff
It was a close call toward the fourth quarter, but Team Fluff managed to pull through. Team Fluff's Kaleb Junior landed the touchdown that secured the win for the fluffy team. Kaleb Junior was rescued from Puerto Rico after the destruction of Hurricane Maria.

Most of the dogs that participated this year were rescue dogs, which isn't a surprise, as the annual event usually has dogs from shelters participating in it.
The Puppy Bowl began airing on the Animal Planet in 2005. The yearly event became an instant success due to its likeness to the Superbowl. The show also features a half-time show performed by kittens and commentators.
Team Ruff, a fan-favorite, won the first game. Because of its success, the event created the spin-offs, Puppy Games and Dog Bowl. On the Hallmark channel, the show Kitten Bowl, was inspired by the Puppy Bowl.
Other awards went to: Bear for MVP award and Mr. Wigglesworth for the Underdog Award.
Social media, of course, could not contain its joy for the adorable players! Check out some of the comments about the game show!
