As the date for season 7 approaches, more information has been making headlines. The show will reportedly pick up three years into the future where the former loft-mates will be moving forward with their lives. Jess (Deschanel) will be returning from England with Nick (Johnson) to California. The couple rekindled their relationship at the end of the season 6 finale and will still be going strong in season 7.
One spoiler that was given away about the couple is that they could be heading down the aisle in the series finale.
Jess's best friend CeCe (Hannah Simone) will be a mom to a daughter named Ruth, whose father is CeCe's husband and Nick's best friend, Schmidt (Max Greenfield). Schimdt will be a stay-at-home dad while CeCe will be blossoming in her career.
Winston (Lamorne Morris) will be married to his girlfriend and former partner, Aly (Nasim Pedrad), and the two will also be expecting their first child together. At the end of season 6, Aly found Winston's long-lost father, and in the final season another spoiler that has been revealed is that Winston will finally meet him. Comedian and actor J.B. Smoove has been confirmed to portray Winston's father.
Also making his way back to the loft will be Damon Wayans, Jr. who portrayed Coach, a former loft-mate who left for New York City.
After debuting the final poster on social media, fans of the show quickly took to Twitter to express their happiness and sadness for the upcoming premiere.
The final season for New Girl will air on FOX on April 10.
