Teresa Giudice Dishes On 'RHONJ' Season 8, Season 9 Casting
Teresa Giudice recently appeared on The Daily Dish podcast to discuss the eighth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and the show's upcoming ninth season.
During the recent episode, Giudice revealed that while she and her costars, including Dolores Catania and Melissa Gorga, had tons of fun times during the show, season 8 was actually the most difficult season for her.
“This was the hardest season for me, because I lost my mom. You know, which sucks, it really does,” Giudice said, according to a report by All About the Real Housewives on Feb. 13.
Just as filming on season 8 began, Giudice's mother, Antonia Gorga, died suddenly at the age of 66. Since then, Giudice, her brother Joe Gorga, and their families, have been stepping up to support their father, Giacinto Gorga, who has been in and out of the hospital in the months since her mother passed.
“I have to say if it wasn’t for the girls, they helped me get through it. When I lost my mom, I didn’t want to work, I didn’t want to film, I didn’t want to do anything. But you know, they did, they were there for me," Giudice revealed. “I’ll never forget that, I’ll never forget all of them. They helped me get through a rough time in my life."
Looking back at her time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Giudice said she is grateful that many of her special moments with her mother have been captured for the series. She's also happy that she was able to team up with her mother and create her second cookbook, Fabulicious!. As fans may know, Antonia Gorga was featured on the book's cover.
As for the upcoming ninth season of the show, Giudice said that she isn't afraid of welcoming a new woman, or new women, to the show. In fact, she said that she loves meeting new people and looks forward to meeting new friends.
Throughout the past several weeks, rumors have been swirling in regard to the potential cancelation of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and the latest report from Radar Online claims Bravo TV is struggling to find new women to join the show.
Following season 8, Siggy Flicker announced she would not be featured on the upcoming season of the show.
