KUWTK Recap: Kim Kardashian Discloses Her Surrogate To Her Family
The identity of Kim Kardashian's surrogate is no longer a secret. The mystery woman who carried Kardashian's and Kanye West's third child, Chicago West, was revealed on the season finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Though her face was kept off-camera throughout the entirety of the scene to protect her privacy, Kardashian introduced the woman, whose first name is Lorena to most of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
While in a confessional, Kim explained that she wanted to only get her acquainted with her family and not expose her to the world.
"This has been such a long journey for us and something that I wanted for so long, and I share everything with my family," Kim says.
Lorena appeared to connect with the Kardashian-Jenners quickly, but specifically bonded with Kylie Jenner, who was pregnant at the time and Khloe Kardashian, who is currently still pregnant.
Lorena also opened up about the difficulties of being a surrogate but remarked that it isn't hard for her to keep a professional detachment.
"Because I know from the beginning that this not my baby, at the end my joy and satisfaction is with whoever I'm having the baby for," Lorena said.
Lorena further stated that she wouldn't hesitate to be a surrogate again, in fact, she revealed that she would do it a thousand more times.
Kim And Kanye Welcome Chicago West
As previously reported, Kim and Kanye West welcomed their third child, Chicago West via surrogate Jan. 15th.
The third time mom took to her official website to confirm the news.
"We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister," the 37-year-old wrote.
The KKW Beauty founder decided to hire a surrogate after the doctors told her that she could no longer get pregnant because she could be at risk for various complications such as placenta accreta and preeclampsia.
Although both conditions were life-threatening the reality star explained that using a surrogate wasn't easier. Kim stated that it was so hard for her emotionally as she carried her first two children, North and Saint West.
However, during the season finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim stated that experience of having a surrogate was so worth it as her surrogate is such a nice person.
