Melissa Gorga shared her thoughts on The Real Housewives of New Jersey while promoting the upcoming release of her book.

During the interview with Glamour alongside her husband Joe Gorga, to promote Love Italian Style: The Secrets of My Hot and Happy Marriage, Melissa said she thinks it would be great if Bravo added new cast members to the reality show. Not just anyone should be cast, she said, but family members.

"They need to switch it up a little bit," Melissa told Glamour. "I don't know if they'd actually take anyone out. But they have to be part of the family in some way, or it won't really make sense. It needs to be like somebody else's sister-in-law, you know?"

She revealed she already made several suggestions for potential co-stars to the show's producers, but they didn't work out.

"I've suggested a couple people, but then they'll try them out and be like, 'Ehhh...'" she shared. "They have to have some kind of tie-in or it seems random with our crew."

Enstars previously reported that the current cast of RHONJ is secretly worried if they themselves will return for the upcoming season. According to a source, the show's stars--Gorga, Teresa Giudice, Caroline Manzo, Kathey Wakile and Jacqueline Laurita--are still waiting to learn from Bravo if they will return for season 6.

"They're all starting to freak out," a show source told Radar Online. "The women won't get their contracts until after the reunion show for this season is filmed and that is happening the first week in September."

Manzo, however, has secured her own spinoff show and her deal has reportedly left Giudice "jealous."

A new episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey premieres every Sunday at 8 p.m EST/7 Central on Bravo.
