'Supernatural' Season 9 Spoilers: Details For 'Nowhere To Go But Down,' Will Castiel Feature? Directors For 'Sharp Teeth,' 'Let the Fat One In' VIDEO
While Supernatural fans are spending the midseason hiatus mourning the loss of Kevin Tran, the CW drama is still plowing through production in Vancouver, British Columbia.
When the paranormal series returns on Jan. 14 with "Road Trip," Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) must team up with the King of Hell (Mark Sheppard) in order to save the younger Winchester, Sam (Jared Padalecki), from the angel that currently possesses him (see video below).
Provided the hunters and their angel pal are successful, Team Free Will can carry on with the war against heaven and hell. Following episode 11, "First Born," during which Tim Omundson will guest star as Cain, the Winchesters will still have Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) and Abaddon (Alaine Huffman) to deal with.
Episode 1N2 will be titled "Sharp Teeth," according to Spoiler TV and will be directed by Supernatural vet, John Showalter, according to a tweet by producer Jim Michaels. Meanwhile, episode 13 is called "Let the Fat One In," according to Spoiler TV and will be directed by Phil Sgriccia.
Although details are scarce on these upcoming storylines, there is slightly more information regarding episode 14. Titled "Nowhere To Go But Down," the script was penned by Robert Berens ("Heaven Can't Wait") and will be directed by Jerry Wanek.

"Very excited to get such a cool script to direct. Thx Bob Berens," Wanek recently tweeted.
However, neither Wanek nor Berens could say much about the plot. When asked by a twitter follower weather or not Castiel will appear in "No Where To Go But Down" considering Berens work on the angel-heavy "Heaven Can't Wait," the writer was evasive.
"I can't speak to whether Cas is in my second ep yet, or really anything else about it. No spoilers! :)" Bernes tweeted.
Considering Cas has been reunited with his grace - well not his grace, per se - and Collins position as series regular, it is quite possible that the fallen angel will make an appearance in the episode.
Supernatural airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on the CW.
