'Supernatural' Season 9 Spoilers: Dean's Epic Fight Scene In 'First Born,' Tim Omundson Talks The Arrival Of Cain VIDEO
Tim Omundson recently graced the set of Supernatural and both the cast and crew seem pretty psyched (pun intended) about his upcoming episode.
The Psych star will make his Supernatural debut in the Jan. 21 episode. Titled "First Born" and written by Robbie Thompson (Pac-Man Fever, Goodbye Stranger), the second installment following the midseason hiatus will feature the Father of Murder.
Omundson will be playing Cain, the first son of Adam and Eve who decided to off his younger brother, Able. An early demon, Cain was the trainer of the Knights of Hell, according to E!. However, it remains to be seen if the killer is still up to his evil ways. Apparently Cain left the demon gig quite a long time ago after he seems to have fallen in love.
Although it is unknown whether or not Cain will use his demonic knowledge to help the Winchesters end Abaddon's (Alaina Huffman) bid for the throne, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will probably be glad to be dealing with a good old-fashioned demon considering they've had more than enough angels as of late.
There are two things we know for sure about "First Born." First of all, Omundson will be sporting his hiatus beard in all its glory. Second, Dean will get to engage in an epic fight scene.
"Watching Jensen spend the last 9 hours shooting 1 fight scene written by [Robbie Thompson] on @cw_spn. Compleat [sic] and Total BadAssery!" Omundson tweeted during filming in early November.
Meanwhile, assistant director Kevin Parks claims it's one of the best fight sequences of the entire series. It looks like Dean is in for one tough battle, but who with?
Supernatural airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on the CW. Check out a preview for the series next episode, "Road Trip," by clicking the video below.
