Survivor: Blood vs. Water winner Tyson Apostol recently revealed the details behind his winning strategy and teased whether or not he would go back for a fourth time.

Apostol won the $1 million prize on Sunday's finale of Survivor: Blood vs. Water, beating out alliance partners Gervase Peterson and Monica Culpepper. The new millionaire told Yahoo this week that he often felt confident on the island that he was going to win the game.

"For the most part, I felt in control," he explained. "I'd put in a lot of work every day, every minute, every hour, with all these people to get them to trust me and to put them against each other and all that. So I felt pretty confident. But a lot of times the person in control is confident and gets voted out."

Apostol was voted out in his first two seasons, Survivor: Tocantins and Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, coming in eighth and 15th, respectively. This season, the twist featured 10 returning players coming back with one of their loved ones, and Apostol brought along his girlfriend Rachel Foulger.

Apostol admitted to Yahoo that a lot of the reason Foulger agreed to do the season was for his benefit.

"I felt like she kind of wanted to do this, but she was also apprehensive and scared and nervous, and I think a lot of the reason she did it was for me, because she knew that it would mean a lot to me to do it again," he explained.

As for whether or not Apostol would return for a potential all-winners season, the three-time player confirmed that he would be interested.

I would do that. But I don't know if it would happen," he said. "If they do do it, I would hope I have a few years off so I can get the edge again."

Survivor season 28 airs in Feb. 2014 on CBS.
