'Bones' Season 9 Spoilers: Brennan's Judgment is Questioned by Her Team After Pelant Dream? [VIDEO]
On the next episode of Bones season 9, Brennan's (Emily Deschanel) judgment will be clouded as she becomes haunted by nightmarish dreams.
The upcoming winter premiere of Bones, titled The Ghost in the Killer, features Brennan dreaming about serial killer Pelant (Andrew Leeds). In her dream, Pelant informs her of a new serial killer called The Ghost Killer that's lurking in the shadows. The silent serial killer, who Pelant believes is female, becomes the focus of the episode for Brennan, according to TV Guide.
Her colleagues begin to question Brennan's judgment after she draws several conclusions about the case-of-the-week without basing anything in evidence or reason. Even new husband Booth (David Boreanaz) begins to question what's gotten into Brennan.
Pelant has a "very immediate and personal" impact on her in the episode, as Bones executive producer Stephen Nathan told TVLine. "In an odd way, he's the driving force behind Brennan's obsession [with The Ghost Killer]."
In other Bones spoiler news, TVLine is reporting that the storyline involving Hodgins (T. J. Thyne) and his lost fortune "continues in a very interesting and surprising way" in later episodes of season 9.
The case for the next episode involves the remains of a dead girl being placed on Brennan and Booth's doorstep. The Jeffersonian team investigates the cold case and discovers suspects that may include The Ghost Killer herself.
Bones season 9 airs Fridays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
