Will old school players like Kelly Wiglesworth and Teresa Cooper get lost in the shuffle during the vote for Survivor: Second Chance?

'Survivor' Host Jeff Probst Says Mike Has 'No Option' In The Game Anymore

The upcoming cast of Survivor: Second Chance is entirely fan-voted, with viewers able to vote for their top 10 men and top 10 women from a pool of 32 players. With many memorable recent players in the mix, it is certainly possible that players from the early seasons may be looked over.

Popular players like Cagayan's Spencer Bledsoe, Worlds Apart's Joe Anglim and Blood vs. Water's Ciera Eastin seem like shoe-ins to get in based on their recent popularity. Considering fans need to select 10 people per gender in order to have their vote count, it's hard to imagine a top 10 without certain people.

However, early players are not as memorable to those who aren't diehard fans. This is why they need your vote more than anyone.

Here is a refresher of all the players featured in the pool from the first 20 seasons:

Kelly Wiglesworth

Borneo - Runner-Up

The only member of the Final 4 that hasn't returned, Kelly was the unfortunate recipient of Sue Hawk's epic "Snakes and Rats" speech at the Final Tribal Council. She was also a huge Immunity threat who won the last five challenges of the season in a row. She frequently expressed discomfort in being in her alliance and she lost the game by one vote to Richard Hatch.

Jeff Varner

The Australian Outback - 10th Place

Jeff was one of the first contestants to embrace being snarky. A reliable narrator, his alliance with Alicia Callaway pushed them through to the merge. However, Kimmi Kappenberg's loose lips about Jeff receiving previous votes allowed the Ogakor alliance to vote him out successfully, since previous votes counted against people in tie scenarios back then.

Kimmi Kappenberg

The Australian Outback - 12th Place

Speaking of Kimmi, she is one of the more memorable pre-merge characters the game has ever had. With Kimmi being a vegetarian, she objected to killing and eating animals, resulting in her epic fight with Alicia "wagging her finger" in her face. Not afraid to speak her opinions, she may be see as more of a "character" than a strategic mastermind, but that could change in the new season.

Teresa "T-Bird" Cooper

Africa - 5th Place

One of the spunkiest contestants of the first few seasons, T-Bird successfully navigated her way to the endgame as the last remaining member of her tribe. She also memorably sang "Tomorrow" from Annie during an endurance challenge and placed a vote on Lex van den Berghe at the merge Tribal Council, causing him to get paranoid and target someone else entirely. Her strategic acumen was ahead of her time and she would be the oldest member of the cast if she is chosen.

Andrew Savage

Pearl Islands - 10th Place

Screwed by the "Outcasts" twist, which brought back the six people already voted out, Savage is a classic case of an alpha male cut from the game early. Savage was seen as a leader of his tribe who was good at challenges.

Shane Powers

Panama - 5th Place

Shane is one of the most outrageous characters in Survivor history, as seen from his wooden "Blackberry" and his thinking chair. He had utter disdain for many members of his alliance including Danielle DiLorenzo and especially Courtney Marit, and his quitting smoking right before going on the island caused him to go truly bananas.

Terry Deitz

Panama - 3rd Place

Terry is one of the winningest players ever, winning five Immunity Challenges at the age of 46 and was only bested Aras Baskauskas and Danielle in the final Immunity Challenges. His rivalry with Aras was one of the highlights of the season and he found one of the first Hidden Immunity Idols ever.

Peih-Gee Law

China - 5th Place

An underdog through most of the season, Peih-Gee was the last remaining member of her tribe. She won two individual Immunity challenges and targeted eventual winner Todd Herzog throughout the post-merge. She was a scrappy contender who was frequently underestimated but her journey to the end was one of the more compelling storylines in China.

Stephen Fishbach

Tocantins - Runner-Up

Most famous for his tight Final 2 deal with J.T. Thomas, Stephen is unfortunately the only person who has received no votes to win in a Final 2 scenario. A nerdy city kid from New York, his alliance with country boy J.T. was a classic Survivor pair. He has now taken to reviewing Survivor strategy on podcasts and his People.com blog.

Monica Padilla

Samoa - 7th Place

Monica was one of the members of the Galu tribe who was unfortunately ignored in favor of Russell Hantz's over-the-top edit. She bonded with Laura Morett and was one of the last members of her tribe to be voted out. Her final episode showed her willingness to play the game as she fearlessly targeted Russell but her scrambling did not work out in her favor.

Ultimately, all of these players are from an era of Survivor that was not so focused on making huge moves and being villainous, so it would be fascinating to see any of them in the new season.
