'Survivor 31' Cast: Joe, Shirin, Mike, Carolyn & Max All Getting Voted Into 'Second Chance' Due To Recency?
In the current fan vote for Survivor: Second Chance, recency bias could allow all eligible candidates from Worlds Apart to compete.
Survivor is letting America pick the cast of the next season from a group of 32 former one-time players who have not won the game. In that group, five contestants from Worlds Apart are eligible: Max, Joe, Shirin, Carolyn and Mike. It is certainly possible that most if not all of these contestants will make it onto the new season due to pure recency bias alone.
As it stands now, Joe and Shirin are very likely going to be voted in due to their popularity among all types of Survivor fans. Max wasn't exactly the most popular contestant among fans but he did make a mark on the season. Carolyn and Mike are still in the game and one of them could still win, making them ineligible, but they are both popular with fans. If Carolyn wins then there's a high chance Mike will return and vice versa.
Carolyn, Mike & Others Causing 'Fireworks' In 'Survivor' Finale?
Survivor host Jeff Probst said on Twitter Tuesday that the vote is constantly changing every day.
Only the top 10 men and the top 10 women voted in by America will make it onto Survivor: Second Chance. The cast will be announced live at the Survivor: Worlds Apart reunion on Wednesday, May 20.
The Survivor: Worlds Apart finale and reunion begins Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
