American Horror Story boss Ryan Murphy might actually consider putting Caitlyn Jenner on the show next season.

Murphy recently spoke with HollywoodLife.com and discussed the comparisons between Jenner and former AHS star Jessica Lange that were made during the former's coming out process.

"What I thought was the greatest thing of all was, [Jessica] said, 'I love that,'" Murphy said. "I thought [Jessica] handled that in such a great, classy way...She said, 'wait a minute, what? Oh, that's great.' I like that, I thought that was wonderful actually."

The comparisons got Murphy thinking.

"Maybe I'll put Caitlyn on Horror Story," he said. "You never know. I wonder if she would act?"

Murphy, who is a big proponent of the LGBT community in his various shows and movies, discussed how he felt about Jenner and the changing climate for the transgender community.

"I'm a big fan of [Caitlyn's]," Murphy said. "And I'm really proud to live in a world with five years ago, if that had happened, it would be totally different. I thought [the comparisons] became instantly like a compliment as opposed to a detriment. I love that."

As it turns out, Jenner has previous acting experience though mostly in the '80s. It would certainly be a big get for Murphy if he were able to attract Jenner to the show.

The next season of American Horror Story is titled Hotel and takes place in present day. Stars lined up to be in the new season include Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett and more.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres in October on FX.
