'Young and the Restless' (Y&R) Spoilers: Newmans Facing A New Setback As Noah's Trial Begins? [VIDEO]
It seemed like he might have a good chance of not going to jail at all for the hit-and-run that almost killed Billy (Jason Thompson), but Noah's (Robert Adamson) fate may not be so cut and dry after all on The Young and the Restless.
Despite Billy making plans to take to the stand and defend Noah, the fact that judge Elise Moxley (Jensen Buchanan) is no longer in his family's pocket after admitting to her affair with Victor (Eric Braden) could change things for him. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) had used the affair to blackmail Moxley into being the judge and letting Noah get off with a lenient sentence, but now that her power is gone, Moxley won't hesitate to threaten letting all her years of being forced to let Newmans escape the penalties of their crimes be taken out on the one she can actually send to prison.
"I think maybe it's time for the Newmans to be a little afraid," she says to Nikki in a preview clip for the Monday, March 14 episode.
Nikki will still try to appeal to her, however, reminding her she is just a grandmother who is trying to look out for her grandson, though Moxley won't likely be swayed.
Then, when Noah's trial kicks off, it will appear to be difficult for the prosecution to paint a convincing story, after Dylan (Steve Burton), Marisa (Sofia Pernas) and Billy all take to the stand and defend him—and even Noah's own testimony could be the help he needs to assure his fate, as he reiterates that he wanted to come clean about hitting Billy earlier on, but was convinced not to by Victor.
"My single biggest regret of my entire life was listening to my grandfather," he says in the clip.
The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
