'Dancing With the Stars' Season 22: Von Miller Already Getting In Trouble? [VIDEO]
Von Miller is reportedly getting in trouble behind the scenes on ABC's Dancing With the Stars.
Miller is slated to compete in the next season of Dancing With the Stars, a little over a month after becoming the Super Bowl MVP. Yet, there are some problems with Miller not being on time for rehearsals.
The NFL standout apparently has a new system with his partner, Witney Carson, where he pays her $100 for every minute he's late for rehearsal. So far, Carson has netted $500, according to TMZ!
While Miller likely has plenty of money to spare, this may be a troubling sign if he keeps it up. Then again, he was only five minutes late in Thursday's rehearsal, so it may not be too big of a deal.
Carson recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight about how Miller has picked up on those tricky ballroom moves very quickly.
"He's picking up things so quick. He's great on choreography. He's an amazing student," she admitted. "I love that because I get to boss a big football player around."
However, Carson is a bit worried that there are two other football players in the mix, Antonio Brown and Doug Flutie.
"I'm super excited but it is kind of scary because there's two other athletes," she said. "I cringed when I heard there were two other football players, but we've just got to make him stand out!"
As for her plans for the first week of Dancing With the Stars, they are performing a foxtrot to a song with a pop vibe.
"It's not a normal foxtrot song. It's kind of a little bit more pop-y," Carson said. "It's going to be good! It kind of shows his personality as well as his dance moves."
So will Miller and Carson go all the way and win the Mirrorball trophy at the end of the season? History proves that NFL stars tend to do very well on the show, with players like Emmitt Smith, Hines Ward and Donald Driver among past DWTS champions.
Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
