'Days of Our Lives' (DOOL) Spoilers: Shawn & Lani Start To Grow Closer [PHOTO]
He had every intention when he came back to Salem again to work things out with his estranged wife, but after continued issues and problems with Belle (Martha Madison), Shawn (Brandon Beemer) will start to move on with Lani (Sal Stowers) on Days of Our Lives.
After learning that when he left, Belle started to grow closer to her ex, Phillip Kiriakis (John Paul Lavoisier) again, prompting his return to town. However, his attempt to stop the divorce proceedings weren't met well with Belle, and the two haven't had any meetings that haven't ended with a fight since. Finally, after realizing Belle wasn't going to stop seeing Phillip—even though she wasn't trying to make it into anything serious—Shawn decided he had enough.
At the same time, he learned about Belle's lavish spending habits, and quickly deduced that the money she was using was the cash Sami (Allison Sweeney) had stolen from the DiMeras before she fled town. He has confronted her about the spending—especially her buying Victor's (John Aniston) club to give Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) a local place to sing—but again, the conversation turned into a big argument, cementing the feeling both now have that there isn't anything left to save when it comes to their storied romance.
Now, Shawn will continue his burgeoning relationship with Lani, the newest detective in the Salem PD, and Abe's (James Reynolds) daughter. Lani had expressed interest in Shawn when he first came back to town and joined the force as a Forensics detective, and now, her hopes he would become more romantically involved with her are starting to come true, because he is desperate to move past his failed marriage.
However, even as the two start to get closer, and potentially even become involved in a romance, the book may not be closed just yet on Shawn and Belle. Not only is Claire going to continue having issues about her parents splitting up, but Belle's proximity to Phillip could put her in a dangerous situation thanks to his dealing with Deimos (Vincent Irizzary)—and if she's put into actual danger, Shawn may need to rescue her, and such a situation could cause them to collide back into one another's lives.
Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
