Mischa Barton was eliminated from the competition during Monday night's episode of Dancing With the Stars, though she wishes she could have danced a little longer.

After receiving the lowest combined total of judges' scores and America's votes, Barton became the second celebrity eliminated from this season of Dancing With the Stars. The actress admitted after her elimination that the show was harder than she expected.

"It was definitely, maybe more than I had bargained for in a lot of ways," Barton told Entertainment Tonight. "But I'm so happy I tried something that's that foreign to me, and you know, had this experience with these guys."

She received a score of 18 out of 30 in her last episode, which ended up being her best score. It's possible that she could have kept improving with time, and Barton did suggest she wanted to stay in for few more weeks.

"I think we could've gone on for another week or so, at least," she admitted. "But hey, it wasn't meant to be."

Her final dance was dedicated to the most memorable year of her life, when she decided to leave The O.C. in favor of self-exploration in London.

"The O.C. was an overnight success and I was the youngest of everyone on the cast at that time so I think he understood better than anyone what my journey was. Where I'd come from and who I was becoming," Barton said.

The clip package shown before Barton's dance showed her former O.C. castmate Peter Gallagher speaking about fame in the context of Barton's life.

"Overnight fame can kill you. I have an idea of the journey that she's been on and some of the challenges she's had and just the fact that she's still showing up does my heart good," he said.

Now, 10 celebrities remain in the competition on Dancing With the Stars.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
