She felt a weird vibe from him when she officially met him for the first time, and now, after a warning from Victor (John Aniston) to make sure she stays away, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) will use her skills as a former journalist to start digging into the secrets Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) may be keeping on Days of Our Lives.

He unsettled her to begin with when she realized he had been behind Maggie's (Suzanne Rogers) drugging, which led to a heartbreaking accident that saw her fall and break her neck—and potentially losing her ability to walk forever. She became even more unsettled when she saw Victor potentially dying of a heart attack on the couch, only to find that Deimos was upstairs and had done nothing to help his brother. However, the most unsettling thing about him was the way he stared at her and began asking her questions about her heritage, specifically if she too was Greek.

After playing Maggie's tape for Victor, which woke him up from his coma, she told him about how she had met his brother and been unsettled by what she found, and Victor made sure to warn her that he would come back around her again, and told her to make sure she steered as clear away as possible.

Now, determined to find out what is going on with him, Nicole will begin digging into the history of the brothers, with the specific determination to find out what is going on with Deimos. She could initially discover the story behind his going to prison for thirty years for the death of Victor's fiancee, but while looking into it, she could figure out the real reason Deimos seemed particularly obsessive about her if she stumbles across a photo of Helena, and realizes that she is a dead ringer for the departed woman that both Victor and Deimos once loved.

Now, she could become more wary than ever about the man who has already caused so much pain to people she cares about in Salem—and she could be forced to worry about what he could do to her as well.
