While Stevie J has said he does not approve of Mimi Faust’s same-sex relationship with Chris, Faust still has an issue explaining exactly what’s going on between them on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.

Fans of the saw Faust introduce Chris to her friends and family on the season premiere on April 4. But now that they know she’s dating a woman, Faust is a little hesitant to say what it really is.

In a clip of the show from Monday’s episode, Chris and Faust’s BFF Ariane help her with her moving process.

Faust said she was “so relieved” that “the whole world” knows about Chris. But they’re not quite ready to move in together.

Ariane said she was happy that Faust came out as a “lesi,” but Faust said that’s definitely not what she is.

“I know this might be confusing for you guys. I identify myself as a female. Chris identifies herself as a male…”

Chris also told Ariane similar sentiments and said, “But we’re not in a lesbian relationship. I’m more like a boy than I am like a girl… So technically she’s not a lesbian.”

Ariane then said Chris must be going through an “identity crisis” but Chris said that’s not it.

She said something simply got “confungled” when she was born at Atlanta’s Grady Hospital.

“Mentally and spiritually I identify as male… Just in a female vessel. I don’t have any forethoughts about hormones or anything like that… “
They added that Chris’ identification as a boy isn’t why Faust is with her.
