She's just learned the bombshell truth about Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Caroline's (Linsey Godfrey) secret about Douglas, and Katie (Heather Tom) will do whatever it takes to protect her niece by marriage and the man she once loved on The Bold and the Beautiful.

She learned from Dr. Wolin (Mark Damon Espinoza) that Ridge wasn't able to conceive a child, and put together the pieces about the fact that he and Caroline must be lying about the real paternity, but now, she will warn the doctor that he's completely wrong-and needs to stop with his assertions now.

"These accusations are totally unfounded," she says in a preview clip for the Friday, April 15 episode. "I'd be careful if I were you."

However, the doctor may find a way to convince her that he's telling the truth, which will lead Katie to believe it. But it will also become obvious to her that he may be planning to use the information against Ridge, which will cause her to once again question the doctor's motives for telling her what he knows.

"You seem to be taking pleasure in this," she says. "You're not planning on blackmailing him, are you?"

As she digs for more information however, Ridge's informing Caroline that his doctor who diagnosed him as infertile has figured out that they are definitely lying about Douglas's paternity will start to give her reasons to panic, since she doesn't want anyone to know that her son really belongs to Thomas (Pierson Fode), and was conceived on the single night she and Ridge were broken up.

However, as she considers the fact that the doctor could blackmail them, and that if he reveals the truth it will be even worse for them, she will tell Ridge she has made a shocking decision about the course of action they should take.

"I think we should talk about maybe telling Thomas," she says in the clip.
