'Young and the Restless' (Y&R) Spoilers: Summer Makes A Decision As Passkey Depositions Continue [VIDEO]
The fight to see who can and will get control of Passkey is still happening on The Young and the Restless, and the fate of the program will all come down to Summer's (Hunter King) testimony.
Summer has been unsure of whether she should lie about what she knows concerning the plot Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy (Jason Thompson) concocted to get the program out from Newman Enterprises, and she's been especially torn since one of the Nemans fighting to get the program back is her father, Nick (Joshua Morrow). Now, with her mother insisting she lie to protect her, Summer will lash out because she knows Phyllis kidnapped Adam (Justin Hartley) as part of her plot, which makes her no better than Victor (Eric Braden) and the very crime she had him sent to prison for.
"You can't kidnap someone too mom!" Summer says in a preview clip for the Thursday, April 14 episode. "What makes you think that you are any better than grandpa?"
However, despite her knowing Phyllis can't always be trusted either, Summer will decide to lie for her mother when she's called in for her deposition-and she won't be the only one who lies under oath in order to keep Passkey with Jabot. Despite his own objections to doing so, Jack (Peter Bergmann) will also lie, though his will be called out by Victoria (Amelia Heinle), who will know exactly what he did.
"You're about as trustworthy as my father," she snarks in the clip. "At least he doesn't pretend to be something he's not."
Now, with Billy, Phyllis, Jack, Summer, Kevin (Greg Rikaart), Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Natalie's (Mara McCaffray) depositions all lining up and seeming ironclad that Jabot didn't hire Natalie and take the program until after Victor fired her from Newman, Victoria and Nick's case will likely go nowhere-and they may need to consider letting it go for good as a result.
The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
