'General Hospital' (GH) Spoilers: An Unexpected Witness Shows Up To Change The Case Against Carlos [VIDEO]
It seemed as though there was no way to actually get Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) convicted for murdering Duke, which would make the attempt to bring him back to Port Charles pointless, but a surprise alleged witness could suddenly change things on General Hospital.
The case against Carlos is flimsy, and he has made a demand from Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) that Julian (William DeVry) pay him big money to help him get out of town and avoid getting taken out by Sonny (Maurice Benard)--or he would take the deal Paul (Richard Burgi) offered him, which would also set Julian up for a fall since he was the one who had ordered the hit on Duke. However, that could aslo backfire for him after a mysterious stranger shows up at the police station and informs Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) that he has new evidence in the case for Duke's murder.
"What did you see?" She asks the witness in a preview clip for the Tuesday, April 26 episode.
Meanwhile, as Julian and Alexis have been frantic about what Carlos flipping would mean for their future, Sonny has been trying to figure out how he would get retribution for Duke's murder if Carlos walked, and Ric (Rick Hearst) was afraid that if the worst case scenario happened, Sonny would take matters into his own hands and kill him. But after overhearing the unexpected witness come forward, he will head to Sonny and Carly (Laura Wright) to share the good news with them that Carlos could be going down after all.
"Sorry to interrupt, but it's important," he says in the clip.
Of course, what no one has figured out yet is that Sonny may be the one who is behind the alleged witness turning up, and it could be his contingency plan to make sure Carlos pays, without him having to get more blood on his own hands and being forced to go to prison himself.
General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
