The petition for a Finding Carter renewal has reached a new goal, but is it helping?

As of Tuesday, there are more than 12,000 signatures on the online petition to bring the former MTV series back to television. While this is a good haul of signatures, there still hasn't been any official news on a third season.

It's taking about two weeks to reach 1,000 signatures on the petition, which isn't bad, but it's not that great either. At this point, all fans can do is keep signing away and, perhaps, think of some online petitions to create attention.

Unfortunately, the series never got the closure it deserved especially with what was next for Max following Jared's murder. In a previous interview from TV Insider, Alex Saxon (Max) dished on what he would've wanted to see happen for his character. Odds are likely this could've been a big storyline for how Max would change.

"I think there's a lot to be explored about what would happen if Max went to jail and went where his dad has spent much of Max's life; how he would regress and how he would change," Saxon said. "I'd like to think part of why Max is so empathetic to everybody around him and conscious of taking care of people and not hurting anybody is because he knows the evil, the darkness, that's out there."

As for how Taylor would handle this, it probably would not have gone well since she's always been so worried for Max.

"She obviously doesn't want him to go to jail and have his life shattered anymore," Saxon said. "She's also relatively rational and knows right from wrong. I think. There's probably a part of her that knows that was the right thing to do."
