Jeff Probst talks whether Aubry Bracco made the right move by advising Tai Trang not to play his Idol in Wednesday night's episode of Survivor: Kaoh Rong.

Tai wasn't sure about playing his Hidden Immunity Idol during Tribal Council, whispering to Aubry for her thoughts. Aubry said that she thought he was safe, but that ultimately it was his call. Tai would decide against playing it, and while he did receive two votes, Julia Sokolowski was the one voted out.

While there has been some chatter online that Aubry should have pushed Tai to play his Idol in order to get it out of the game, Probst recently discussed with Entertainment Weekly why he thinks she chose otherwise.

"You just asked the kind of question that keeps players up at night," Probst said, when asked whether Aubry should have advised Tai to play his Idol. "What IS the right move? In one hand, Aubry could betray Tai or play dumb and say she really did think he was in trouble, so play the idol. But then Tai could turn on her and vote her out or not vote for her if he makes the jury and she is final three or, or, or, or... There is no way to know.

"My best guess is that Aubry made a move that she thought would connect her to Tai. Tai likes to play from a foundation based on moral code. He seems to respect that kind of gameplay. If that's true, then Aubry may have just solidified her strongest alliance by showing Tai that you can trust me - 'I get you, and I won't lie to you.'"

It remains to be seen if the new Aubry and Tai bond will continue through the end of the game. Both have turned against their allies in the past, so it's possible we'll see more of that in these final days.

"Push is coming to shove," Probst said, of the next episode. "With so few people left, the alliances are going to truly be put to the test. There will be consequences."

Survivor: Kaoh Rong airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
