'Days of Our Lives' (DOOL) Spoilers: Steve Blasts Kayla For Not Telling Him About Joey's Arrest [VIDEO]
Their relationship has been on the outs since she called off their engagement because she decided he is too dangerous to be around, but things will only grow more tense for Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) when he learns about Joey's (James Lastovic) arrest on Days of Our Lives.
Joey, along with his friends, was arrested after the prom for spray-painting the car driven by a classmate who humiliated Ciara (Vivian Jovanni) and Theo (Kyler Pettis) by having photos making fun of Theo's Autism and Ciara's rape when they went up to receive their crowns as Prom King and Queen. Kayla bailed Joey out and humiliated him by telling Jade's (Paige Searcy) parents about her arrest as well, but refused to contact Steve about the situation.
However, now, Steve will learn about his son's arrest and night in jail, and he won't react kindly when he realizes that Kayla intentionally kept the news from him. This will lead to a big fight between the former couple, as he demands she not try to keep him from still having a role in his son's life, especially when he gets in trouble.
Kayla, meanwhile, will fight back, sure that Joey being arrested proves her fears about Steve are absolutely legitimate, because his life as a spy for the ISA, and the dangerous situations it put him--and their family--in over the years, are what she believes helped inspire Joey to done something so reckless and get himself in trouble.
What neither one will realize though as they argue is that their new fight will only continue to fuel Joey's rebellious nature, and between them and Jade's parents threatening to send her away for her own actions, he is ready to go through with the plan he and his new girlfriend came up with to get the ultimate revenge on them all. And now, more than ever, he and Jade will be more resolved to put that plan into action today, and the two will run away to Los Angeles.
Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
