Her claims that she feels deep in her gut that max (Jared Breeze) caused the fall which led to her tragic miscarriage have already put a nasty strain on their marriage, and Abby's (Melissa Ordway) latest accusations against the boy will cause more problems for her and Stitch (Sean Carrigan) on The Young and the Restless.

Abby had told Lily (Christel Khalil) that she was having Dylan (Steve Burton) investigate and Max overheard Lily saying that she would give all the security footage to him as a part of his investigation. Max panicked after hearing that, and schemed to make sure no one would get a hold of the security footage, which would not only show him setting up Abby's fall by placing fishing wire across the stairs, but then later collecting the evidence as well.

Now, a fire has broken out at the Athletic Club, forcing an evacuation. And not surprisingly, it was in the control room, and all of the security footage was destroyed in the process. Abby feels further in her gut that Max found some way to destroy the evidence so he could continue keeping her and Stitch apart. However, expressing that feeling to Stitch will only anger him further, and their marriage could come even closer to falling apart as a result.

"You're not going to like hearing this," she says in a preview clip for the Thursday, May 5 episode. "I think Max set that fire."

Stitch will be livid and storm off after Abby tells him what she suspects, but after an investigation, she could be closer to proving that Mac at least set the fire, when it is determined that the blaze was intentionally set. And since the only people who could normally get access to the room would be the ones who work at the Club, and anyone who knows how to get the key to the control room, like Charlie, who Max manipulated into swiping it, it will become more likely to everyone that he may have done it. And with that in mind, more questions could arise about Abby's fall as well.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
