He ended things with her because her being pregnant with his Uncle's baby was too much for him to handle, but now, as Nicole (Reign Edwards) prepares to give birth to and hand over Rick (Jacob Young) and Maya's (Karla Mosley) baby, Zende (Rome Flynn) will begin to wonder if he made the right decision on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Nicole is officially in labor at the hospital now, and the big moment has arrived, but Zende is at the Forrester mansion with Sasha (Felisha Cooper) instead, upset that he isn't there. And it isn't the first time since he and Nicole split up that he's appeared that way, and that behavior hasn't gone unnoticed by his grandfather, Eric (John McCook), who will share his concerns with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) as they await word on their new grandchild's birth.

"Zende hasn't been the same since he broke up with Nicole," he says in a preview clip for the Tuesday, May 17 episode. "Just moping around the house, and I see him staring out the windows."

Brooke will then put forward the idea that Zende and Nicole would have been able to overcome the whole surrogacy thing, had it not been for Sasha's arrival in town, voicing that Zende was actually doing well with the whole situation before she showed up.

"If it wasn't for Sasha, I think that Nicole and Zende could have survived this," Brooke says in the clip.

However, even Sasha could find her ways of trying to distract Zende and keep him away from Nicole won't work, because after really thinking things through, he will head to the hospital to see Nicole as she gives birth. And afterwards, he will then sneak in to see her, and lament that his ending things kept him from being there when she needed him most.

"I missed the most precious moment of your life," he says to her in the clip.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
